The Social Committee provides Freshmen Reps with a chance to better connect with four Sophomore mentors and one Junior executive. They will gain hands-on experience with coordination social events for the entire organization, including planning, set up, and clean up of events. In past years we have done socials such as FRWD Lake Day, Root Beer Float Game Night, and an end of year banquet. As a social committee rep, it will be your job to help spread the hype for these events to ensure a great turnout as well as creating events that everyone will enjoy. The Social Committee is a great place to gain hands-on experience with event planning, contacting venues, and organizing all the details that make these events so great.
public relations
The Public Relations (PR) committee gives the Freshmen Reps an opportunity to connect with a small group of other Reps, four Sophomore Mentors, and one Junior Exec while developing useful business skills. Being a part of PR gives Freshmen Reps hands-on experience writing emails, communicating with other committees in FRWD and FRWD as a whole, and learning how to represent FRWD through social media, merchandise, and day to day activities. PR has the important task of making sure everyone in the organization stays informed about all the events and everything going on with FRWD, as well as informing the public of everything FRWD has done to help FRWD become well known in a positive light at Texas A&M. We also aim to continually promote and support our present and past members in their social and professional endeavors. Our goal is always to spread awareness of who FRWD is, though-out A&M and Mays Business School, and show the benefits and community that FRWD provides to its members.

The FRWD Finance Committee gives freshmen the opportunity to learn about how finances move through organizations and what it takes to fundraise. This committee is comprised of one Junior Exec and two Sophomore Mentors and Freshmen Representatives. The Finance Committee gets to work closely with the Social Committee to ensure events to raise funds are communicated throughout the organization! Our committee gives representatives the opportunity to communicate with local businesses and the university itself to plan profit shares and other fun fundraising events.
service
The service committee is all about service!! Wooo!! In the service committee, which is comprised of 4 Sophomore Mentors and one Junior Exec, freshmen will be in charge of how our organization will give back to our community. It will be up to them to decide where we would like to help out in the community. We will show everyone how fun it is and how good it feels to give back. This committee is also in charge of reaching out to campus organizations like The Big Event to get FRWD a spot in these big service events. As a service member, you will learn how to speak to nonprofits to coordinate events with them. The service committee has the power to create life changing events for those that need it!!
