Below are various service events that we have done
BUILD
At least once a year, FRWD volunteers to help Build, a non-profit student run organization at Texas A&M that converts 40-foot shipping containers into fully-functional and portable Texas Aggie Medical Clinics. These containers are shipped all over the world to help those in need. FRWD volunteers by painting, installing cabinets and spreading the word. This is one of the first service events that we do and it is always a fun experience.
FRWD Open
Once a year FRWD hosts a pickleball tournament on campus. The proceeds from these sales go directly to Sleep in Heavenly Peace and is a great way to give back to the community. The tournament is always so much fun and a great way to get your friends together for some friendly competition!
The Big event
The Big Event is the biggest student-run service project at Texas A&M University and the nation. Seeing as service is not only one of FRWD's pillars but also one of the Texas A&M aggie core values, going to The Big Event is incredibly important to FRWD. At Big Event, we stand alongside other organizations on campus and participate in showing our appreciation to Bryan-College Station by completing various local service projects. It is a truly one-of-a-kind student run organization, and we are more than proud to be a part of it every year.
Sleep in heavenly peace
Our Philanthropy: Sleep in Heavenly Peace partners with the church and community to tangibly support kids and families by building and delivering beds so that "no kid sleeps on the floor in our town!" Our collective goal is for every child to have a permanent bed where they feel safe and supported. FRWD supports Sleep in Heavenly Peace by donating funds, hosting bedding drives, and participating in build days that help provide children with the sleep support they deserve!
